SEDAR  03
Southeastern United States Yellowtail Snapper

Description

SEDAR 3 addresses the assessment of Southeast yellowtail snapper conducted by the State of Florida through SEDAR. The Data Workshop compiled data for yellowtail snapper in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and South Atlantic; Goliath grouper in the South Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico; and vermilion snapper in the Gulf of Mexico. Data were deemed adequate to pursue an assessment of yellowtail snapper in the Gulf and South Atlantic. However, the Review Workshop identified additional data sources and recommended reconsidering an assessment of Goliath grouper (see SEDAR 6). Yellowtail snapper in the Caribbean were reconsidered in SEDAR 8. *** NOTE: SEDAR Working papers document the methods, datasets, and preliminary analyses that are under consideration and therefore do not necessarily represent final consensus opinions of workshop participants. Working paper findings and methods may change following workshop review. Working papers should not be cited without author permission. The findings and conclusions of working papers and workshop reports are those of the authors and participants and do not necessarily represent the views of any agencies involved in SEDAR. ****
