The Air National Guard Band of the South provides music for military ceremonies, official functions, recruiting and retention events and community relations. The band averages fifty performances a year and performs regularly throughout its area of responsibility as "Goodwill Ambassadors" for the Georgia Air National Guard. Members are typical guardsmen, serving one weekend a month, two weeks during the summer and at other times when called to duty.

The AIr National Guard Band of the South has no openings at this time. We are not currently holding or scheduling any auditions.
New Band Members
The Air National Guard Band of the South would like to congratulate our two members who have recently graduated from Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX. We also have two members who are currently in Basic Training. There are still openings for saxophone players in the band.
Youth Academy Graduation
On June 18, 2011, a portion of the Concert Band will be performing at the Youth Academy Graduation in Macon, GA. Youth Academy Graduations are held twice each year. The Youth Academy is a program for at risk teens. The program is voluntary and the participants can leave any time they choose. Participants complete a Boot Camp style program over the course of several months. Many of the graduates enlist in the military after graduation. Graduations are held in Macon each year. Members of the Air National Guard Band of the South perform at the graduations each year.

The Air National Guard Band of the South performs year round throughout the Southeastern United States. To request the band, or any group within the band, a DDForm 2536 must be completed.
