Important Message about Job Corps Enrollment

As a cost-saving measure, new student enrollments are suspended effective January 28, 2013. The enrollment suspension is projected to end June 30, 2013. Exceptions will be made for applicants who are homeless, runaways, or in the foster care system. If you have questions about whether you qualify in one of these categories, please call (800) 733-5627 to speak with an admissions counselor.

If a student is not enrolled and on-center by January 28, your information will be kept on file until enrollment resumes. At that time, your admissions counselor will contact you to confirm that you are still interested in enrolling in Job Corps. The counselor will review the documentation you provided during your initial interview to ensure you still meet eligibility requirements.

While new student enrollments are suspended, you are encouraged to use the resources and tools available at your local American Job Center (http://jobcenter.usa.gov), formerly Career One-Stop Centers, to assist in your education and training needs.

Thank you for your interest in Job Corps. If you have further questions about the suspension, call (800) 733-5627. Updated information will be posted to this Web site as it becomes available.
