This section details participant results for all Job Corps centers in Program Year 2011 (July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012). The following are definitions of the performance measures in this section.

  • Attained GED or HSD: Percentage of students who attain either a General Educational Development (GED) or a high school diploma (HSD) during enrollment in Job Corps.
  • Attained Career Technical Training Completion: Percentage of students who complete a career technical training program during enrollment in Job Corps.
  • Combination Attainment of GED/HSD and Career Technical Training Certificate: Percentage of students who complete a career technical training program and attain either a GED or a HSD during enrollment in Job Corps.
  • Average Literacy Gain (Grade Level Equivalent): Average Grade Level Equivalent (GLE) gains attained on the highest valid subsequent Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) reading test.
  • Average Numeracy Gain (Grade Level Equivalent): Average Grade Level Equivalent (GLE) gains attained on the highest valid subsequent Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) math test.
  • Attained Industry-Recognized Credential: Percentage of students who attain an approved industry-recognized credential or complete a National Training Contractor (NTC)-operated training program.
  • Placement Related to Career Technical Training, in the Military, or Post-Secondary Education: Percentage of career technical training completers placed in a training-related job, the military, or post-secondary education.
  • Former Enrollee Placement: Placement of former enrollees placed in a job, the military, or education.
  • Graduate Initial Placement: Placement of graduates placed in a job, the military, or education or who transfer to an Advanced Training Program at another Job Corps center.
  • Graduate Average Wage: Average hourly wages of graduates placed in a job or the military.
  • Graduate Full-Time Placement: Percentage of graduates placed in a full-time job or the military.
  • Graduate 6-Month Follow-Up Placement Rate: Percentage of graduates who report they are in a job, the military, or education on the 6-Month Follow-up Survey.
  • Graduate 6-Month Average Weekly Earnings: Average weekly earnings of graduates who report they are in a job, the military, or education on the 6-Month Follow-up Survey.
  • Graduate 12-Month Follow-Up Placement Rate: Percentage of graduates who report they are in a job, the military, or education on the 12-Month Follow-up Survey.
