Trends on Tuesday: Text Messaging Still Viable Communication Tool

comScore Mobile Content UsagecomScore released its latest mobile content usage data showing that just over 75% of mobile subscribers text on their mobile devices. In the three month period ending in November, text messaging increased by .3%

MobileMarketingWatch notes that

apart from actually talking on their phones, mobile subscribers did nothing more frequently with their phones than using them for texting purposes.

This data demonstrates that a thoughtful text messaging campaign can be an effective way to communicate with an agency’s mobile audience.
