Back to Supervision: An Overview

CSOSA's supervision model stresses both external and internal accountability. Offenders are monitored through records checks, office and field contacts, and drug testing to ensure that they comply with the conditions of their release. In addition, programs such as drug treatment, day reporting, anger management, and other interventions encourage the offender to improve his or her behavioral controls. Our goal is to prevent crime among the offenders we supervise and to help those men and women develop skills that will support them in productive, crime-free lives long after their community supervision is over.
