General Information
The IRC is equipped with powerful electronic resources. The IRC has several commercial on-line databases available, including GaleNet, First Search, Lexis-Nexis, Stat-USA, GPO Access, and PDQ. In addition, the IRC subscribes to specialized CD-ROMs. Links to other sources of information about the USA are available as well.
The reference collection is non-circulating. The collection consist of volumes, including encyclopedias, handbooks, directories, and over-views in fields such as government, politics, history, economics, education and sociology. The IRC also regularly receives periodicals in related subject areas.
The resources of the IRC are intended to meet the needs of government officials, journalists, scholars and other citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with professional level interest in the United States. The IRC staff will assist you with any reasearch need and will conduct on-line searches in the World Wide Web and in the commercial databases, CD ROM databases and reference books. The IRC functions every day from 08:00 until 17:00, except on Saturdays, Sundays, American and BiH holidays. The center is accessible by appointments via:
