Adoption
The U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo currently does not process or adjudicate petitions for immigrant visas for adopted children. These petitions must be adjudicated by an officer from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) of the Department of Homeland Security. Depending on how you adopted a child, the petition would need to be filed at the USCIS service center with geographical jurisdiction for your place of residence in the United States, or at the American Embassy in Vienna, which is where the USCIS office with jurisdiction over Bosnia and Herzegovina is located.
