Chairwoman Mikulski had requested that agencies collect the facts on sequester

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.), Chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today issued the following statement applauding the Obama Administration for releasing information on how sequester would impact middle class families, jobs and the economy. The information released today was collected in response to Chairwoman Mikulski's request that agencies collect the facts on sequester's impact.  

"I applaud the Administration's release of this compelling information. The impacts of sequester are devastating to the American people and the American economy. The public has a right to understand how the government services they rely on will be impacted. I look forward to discussing these impacts in detail at my Appropriations Committee hearing on Thursday, February 14."
