Colonel Kyle D. Campbell, FACHE is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and the resident Command and General Staff College. He has earned Master's Degrees in Administration from Central Michigan University, in Health Administration from Baylor University, and in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Washington, D.C.

During his Baylor administrative residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Colonel Campbell served as the Executive Officer and Co-Author of the Combat Trauma Surgical Training Project at Ben Taub General Hospital. The success of this project led to the creation of the Army Trauma Training Center (ATTC).

His previous commands include the Heidelberg MEDDAC in Heidelberg Germany, the 421st Medical Evacuation Battalion in Wiesbaden, Germany, the 498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) at Fort Benning, Georgia and the Medical Company for the Medical Department Activity at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Other assignments include Chief of Staff for Southern Regional Medical Command, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Deputy Commander for Administration, Fort Benning MEDDAC, Georgia; Deputy Chief of Staff, Europe Regional Medical Command, Heidelberg, Germany; Deputy Commander for Administration, Rodriquez Army Health Clinic, Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico; S-3 for the 52nd Medical Evacuation Battalion, Yongsan Republic of Korea; Operations Officer, 377th Medical Company (Air Ambulance), Camp Humphries Republic of Korea; Flight Platoon Leader, 3/498th Medical Company (Air Ambulance), Fort Stewart, Georgia. Prior to Flight School and his branch transfer to the Medical Service Corps Colonel Campbell served as an Army Nurse with duty at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras.

His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (6 OLC), Air Medal with device number 2, Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC) and a variety of service and campaign medals including the Meritorious Unit Commendation. He has also earned the Expert Field Medical Badge, the Senior Aviator Badge, the Parachutist Badge and the Air Assault Badge. Foreign awards include the German Schutzenschnur and German Armed Forces Military Proficiency Badge "Leistungsabzeichen", both in Gold.

Other honors include the Surgeon General's "A" professional proficiency designator, the Order of Military Medical Merit, the Order of Saint Michael Bronze Award, the Federal Excellence in Healthcare Leadership Award, American College of Healthcare Executives Governor's and Regent's Awards for Distinguished Service and full membership in Upsilon Phi Delta National Honor Society in Health Administration.

Colonel Campbell is a board certified healthcare executive and attained Fellow status (FACHE) in the 40,000 member American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He recently completed his term on the Board of Governors and has previously served as Regent-at-Large of District Six and as President of the Network of Overseas Healthcare Executives. He remains active and serves on two ACHE committees. His other professional memberships include the Association of the United States Army, Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), Military Officers Association of America and he is a Life Member of the DUSTOFF Association.

Colonel Campbell has authored numerous professional articles in military and civilian journals including The U. S. Army Medical Department Journal, Army Logistician, and The Journal of Surgical Research.
