Consulate General Erbil participated in the Dohuk International Fair, December 5-8, 2012, with a booth dedicated to promoting EducationUSA.  The Consulate handed out hundreds of pamphlets, CDs, and bookmarks on studying in the United States.  Consulate staff also handed out brochures donated by universities who participated in the October fair in Erbil.  During the four days of the fair, thousands of participants visited the booth.  With Dohuk located far from the Consulate in Erbil, this was an opportunity to reach new audiences.

EducationUSA is funded by the U.S. Department of State and provides accurate and complete information - for free - to all students interested in pursuing academic studies in the U.S. The U.S. Mission in Iraq has two EducationUSA Advisors dedicated to helping Iraqi students from all provinces interested in studying at U.S. universities. Advisors provide information and services to Iraqi students by email, telephone, and online through the Facebook page and official U.S. Mission websites.
