World-renowned Schindler Elevator Ltd. hosted Ambassador Beyer at its sites in Hergiswil and Ebikon on December 17, 2012.  Chairman Schindler briefed the Ambassador about the company’s latest technology, which is making significant inroads in countries around the globe.   The visit also highlighted Schindler’s newly opened facility in Ebikon, responsible for the Personal Occupant Requirement Terminal (PORT) Technology, the company’s latest product, which can provide a range of control and communication functions from a variety of locations.  Schindler designs, manufactures, installs, services and modernizes a broad range of elevators, escalators and moving walks, but is also moving beyond “bending metal” to become a “personal mobility company” that supports sustainable urban development with safe, reliable and ecologically sound mobility solutions.
