On January 30, 2013 at the Cameroon National Museum, Crelicam SARL Director General Mr. Charlie Redden presented a guitar made of Cameroonian ebony and other fine timber processed by Crelicam to Minister of Arts and Culture Ama Tutu Muna.  On accepting the donation, Minister Muna said the guitar, made by world-renowned guitar-maker and Crelicam co-owner Taylor Guitars, will be prominently displayed at the soon-to-reopen museum.  She then conducted a short tour of the museum for Mr. Redden, Ambassador and Mrs. Jackson, and Embassy officials.  At a Yaounde reception earlier in the month, Taylor Guitars co-founder and president Bob Taylor declared that “ebony is music,” and said Cameroonians are right to be proud of the country’s contribution to the arts worldwide by supplying ebony for a wide variety of musical instruments.  Crelicam also plans to present a guitar to President Biya for the Palais de l’Unité.
