On January 26, 2013, Ambassador Rivkin and his spouse Ms. Susan Tolson inaugurated new and expanded programs at a social center located in a diverse neighborhood of the city of Argenteuil near Paris. The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section gave La Maison pour Tous (“Everyone’s Home”), which was selected in concert with our French partners Acsé and “la Federation Française des Centre Sociaux”, a grant to expand and broaden the programs the center offers youth, and family members from the community: English-language classes, multimedia training sessions for youth, students, and young job seekers.
Accompanied by the director of the center, Ms. Sakina Nhari, Ambassador Rivkin and Ms. Tolson had a long exchange with people benefiting from these training sessions, and viewed multi-media creations made by school children.
