Appointments for Routine Service

Notice for U.S. Citizens

To All U.S. Citizens:

On Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013, and Thursday morning, February 14, the U.S. Citizen Services Section is not scheduling appointments for routine U.S. Citizen Services.

However, any U.S. Citizen with an urgent matter should notify the guard for entry, or return between 1:30 and 3:30 on those days.

For non-emergency services (e.g. notarials, passports, Federal Benefits), please visit our website to schedule an appointment.

To ensure consistent and equitable service to the many Americans who live in and visit northern Thailand, the U.S. Consulate has an appointment system for non-emergency services.

 DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

If you are reporting the death, arrest, or serious illness or injury of an U.S. citizen in Northern Thailand, you do not need an appointment.  Please call 053-107-777 instead.

If you need to replace a lost or stolen U.S. passport, you do not need an appointment.  You may come to the Consulate any Tuesday or Thursday (except Thai and U.S. public holidays).  Before coming, please review our the “Lost or Stolen Passport” information on our Passport Services page so you know what to bring.

If you are picking up a new U.S. passport or a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) after receiving an email pick-up notice from us, you do not need an appointment.  Please come to the Consulate from 13:30 to 15:30 any Tuesday or Thursday (except Thai and U.S. public holidays).

For all other services, please make an appointment.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Visit our ACS Appointment website to see the next available time slot for the service you need, then reserve a slot.   Please make one appointment for every person who needs a service.  More than one person cannot use the same appointment slot.

If you need more than one service at the Consulate, just select one or the other to make your appointment.  For example, if you need to renew your U.S. passport and a notarial service, make a passport appointment.

After making your appointment, please print a copy of your confirmation page.  This will allow you to easily change or cancel your appointment if your plans change.  If you do not have a printer, please write down your password and confirmation number.

When you come to the Consulate, please bring your printed confirmation page or your written confirmation number.
