NEW CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM FOR U.S. VISAS
The U.S. Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan has launched a new on-line and telephone customer service center for travelers applying for non-immigrant visas to travel to the United States.
Customers can get information about non-immigrant visas, schedule interview appointments at the Embassy in Baku, and arrange for the delivery of passports and visas either online at www.USVisa-info.com or on the telephone at (+994) 12 310 - 3010.
The web site is: www.USVisa-info.com and is available 24 hours a day.

Once customers register for an online account, they can pay their application fees by credit card or cash at any Bank Standard branch (http://bankstandard.com/en/branches), and schedule appointments for an interview at the Embassy. Applicants who receive visas can pick them up at Aramex courier center (http://www.aramex.com/offices/default.aspx?country=AZ).
This service at the U.S. Embassy in Baku is part of the U.S. government's global program to support visa processing and to facilitate travel to the United States.
THIRD COUNTRY NATIONALS:
- Starting December 27, 2012 Third Country National applicants will follow the same procedures as Azerbaijani citizens, outlined on the www.USVisa-info.com website.
- Third Country National applicants with either Azerbaijani Permanent or Temporary Residence Permits issued by the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan may request an expedited visa interview appointment. Please email the Consular Section at ConsularBaku@state.gov.
All nonimmigrant visa applicants, except children too young to speak, must be able to conduct a meaningful interview in English, Azerbaijani or Russian. Personal interpreters are not allowed.
DIPLOMATIC AND OFFICIAL VISAS:
Government officials traveling on official visas (A, G, C-3 and NATO visas) remain exempt from the interview and fingerprint requirement. These types of applicants may continue to bring their documents directly to the US Embassy in Baku.
USEFUL TIPS:
- Do not make any final travel arrangements before you have obtained a visa.
- To expedite getting through security at the Embassy, no electronics are allowed (cell phones, cameras, laptops). Any other items you bring will be thoroughly searched and will delay your arrival into the Embassy.
- Applicants are expected to make every effort to upload a photo for the Form DS-160 that meets the designated requirements. However, if the photo upload is not accepted as suitable by the DS-160 system, applicants must continue without a photo. Whether a photo is successfully uploaded or not, applicants are requested to bring a photo, meeting the photo requirements to the interview.
Photograph for the visa must be taken within the last six months. NO photoshopped or retouched photos will be accepted.
