Panama

More than 2,150 Peace Corps volunteers have served in Panama since the program was established in 1963. Currently, 237 volunteers serve in Panama. Volunteers work in the areas of community development, English education, environment, health and agriculture. Volunteers are trained and work in the following languages: Embera, Ngabe, Spanish, Wounaan and Naso.
