Community Relations Project at Alcance Positivo’s Outreach Center, Santa Ana

Group of Volunteers

In coordination with the U.S. Embassy’s People-to-People Office, 15 members of the USS Gary participated in a Community Relations Project at the Outreach Center “Por Mi Barrio” in Santa Ana, on Friday, December 21^st. Approximately, 10 volunteers from the Youth Center and 4 volunteers from the U.S. Embassy also participated in the project.  The group cleaned up the back garden, a side alley way and a side lot.

They also prepared some walls for painting and started painting one of the walls.  The USS Gary donated 15 gallons of paint, plus paint rollers, trays, and other items.
