This edition is the July 1, 2012, publication of 30 CFR Parts 1 through 199. This version will also contain updates to this publication as provided by the List of CFR Sections Affected (LSA). The LSA is a monthly publication containing modifications for all titles of the CFR. The LSA provides the reader with the section affected, the title of the section and a Federal Register page number. As the LSA is generally a month or two behind, you may access the Government Printing Office's internet site, GPO Access for the most current Federal Register publications. A link to this site is provided below. To access the LSA, please use this link.

There are two major types of modifications involved; Technical Amendments and Final Rules. Technical amendments are of a "non-regulatory" nature. That is to say, they do not affect the meaning of the regulations. We will incorporate these changes into the text of the current 30 CFR as they become apparent to us via the LSA.

Changes of the "Final Rule" nature do directly affect the regulations. We will not change the text of the current 30 CFR to reflect these changes. We will add the new text underneath the current text. The new text will be bold for easy recognition. You may also search the GPO Access web site for details on specific sections, if you so desire. A link is provided below.
