NRO Jr. Home Page - Text Only Version

The Introduction page of NROjr pictures the Earth against the backdrop of the blackness of space with stars with many different colored rings going around it in different directions. Circling around Earth is a large blue ring that says National Reconnaissance Office on it. Around the Earth are links for NROjr K-5th Grade, TEAM RECON 6-12, Other Government Sites, Parents, and Teachers. On the upper right side of the circle is Ollie the Satellite, a bronze square with a long blue panel on each side, two hands at the bottom of the square and a dish on his head with the NRO seal on the dish. On the upper left side is the banner NROjr with NRO in silver and Jr in gold.

On the left side of the page is the following text and links:

Welcome to NROjr.gov - the National Reconnaissance Office's website for kids! Our goal is to engage children and youth in the wonders of science, math and space in a fun and interactive manner. This website was established in compliance with the President's April 18, 1997 Memorandum for Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies, Subject: Expanding Access to Internet-based Educational Resources for Children, Teachers, and Parents. We encourage parents and teachers to be involved in children's Internet explorations. We hope that the NRO's homepage for kids sparks their interest in space, science, the history of reconnaissance and more.

We do not ask for nor collect any information regarding children's visits to NROjr other than as stated in the Privacy Notice. The information collected as stated in the Privacy Notice does not differentiate between adults and children.
