WAQR

DEQ monitors air pollution throughout the state to ensure that air quality standards are being met. Because wildfires often occur in remote areas and the smoke impacts are transitory, updated pollution levels may not be available every hour.

Note: Forest fire PM2.5 estimates are based on data collected during the 2002 Oregon forest fires and are typically lower than the PM2.5 estimates made during non-forest fire conditions. For forest fire smoke, the Wildfire Air Quality Health Rating should supersede the non forest fire PM2.5 estimate.
