Data

Development of integrated data sets and incorporation of these data sets into observational products and model improvements is the highest priority for growth within ASR. These data will be captured and made available through the ARM Data Archive.

Observational data generated by ARM instruments are transmitted to the ARM Data Archive for distribution. With over 180 terabytes of available data and nearly 9.8 million data files collected as of October 2009, the Data Archive offers a wide-range of measurements. These data are freely available through web-based interfaces. First-time visitors to the Archive will need to create a new account by completing a relatively short form asking for contact information.

Data from the Atmospheric Sciences Program field and laboratory studies are available under special data of the Intensive Operation Period (IOP) Data Browser from the ARM Data Archive.

Data Quality Reporting

While every effort is made to ensure the quality and accuracy of the data, the occasional problem does arise. If quality issues are discovered while using our data, please contact the Data Quality Office at armdataquality@arm.gov or see dq.arm.gov for online reports. Be sure to include the datastream names and a description of the problem or error received.
