Best Places to Work
For the first time ever, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) ranks among the top 10 of more than 200 Federal agencies to work in Federal Government.
In 2012, FHWA continued to prove that it is one of the best federal agencies to work, ranking #9 out of 292 sub-cabinet agencies and improving from last year’s ranking of #12. The “Best Places to Work” survey conducted by the nonpartisan think tank Partnership for Public Service, goes out to all federal employees annually. This year FHWA’s overall score increased to 78, a 1.9% increase from last year’s survey.
The Partnership survey also shows continued success by the Department of Transportation (DOT) who ranked #9 out of 19 among large federal agencies – with an overall score of 63.6, improving from last year’s score of 59.5 – the largest increase of any Federal Department.
At FHWA we are committed to cultivating an environment that encourages a positive work-life balance and supports employees in their development.
