1/30/2013 - FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS) -- The February issue of Airman magazine is now available to download. In this issue, our cover story, titled "Holding Pattern," features the "Boneyard," a 2,600-acre aircraft storage facility located on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz.
Officially known as the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group, the Boneyard contains 4,400 aircraft and 13 aerospace vehicles from all the military branches and several federal agencies, inclduing NASA, in its inventory.
