Paintball
Paintball is a game in which players eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint (referred to as a "paintball") usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed-gas powered paintball gun (or marker). Games can be also played either indoors or outdoors and take various forms, of which some of the most popular are woodsball, scenario, X-Ball and speedball. Rules for playing paintball vary widely, with most designed to ensure that participants enjoy the sport in a safe environment. The sport requires a significant amount of equipment.
A game of paintball usually involves two opposing teams seeking to eliminate all of the other team's players or to complete some other objective, such as retrieving a flag, eliminating a specific player, or other paintball variations. Depending on the style of paintball played, a paintball game can last from seconds to days.

Fishing
Offshore boat fishing (Open Water Fishing) in the Northern Adriatic Sea for ODR customers is usually done on Charter Fishing Boats that hold between 25 to 50 fishermen. The boats we use are in Chioggia and Rosalina Mare. After approximately an hour trip from the berth, the boat anchors in 20-30 meters of water. The rods used by our customers are light tackle, with 8 Kg (18 pound) test line. Boat Captains provide the bait, and also have chum bags over the side(s) of the boat to assist in attracting fish. The fish normally caught are Mackerel and an occasional Bonita Tuna (2-6 pound range). Some of the boats we use also provide lunch on board.
Kayaking
In the Spring and Summer seasons Outdoor Recreation hosts several local trips to Lake Garda. Trip leaders offer kayaking instruction. From the sea kayak you're afforded a unique view of the lake and can enjoy relaxed views of Garda and its surroundings.
Kayaks were originally developed by the indigenous people living in the Arctic regions who used the boats to hunt on inland lakes, rivers and the coastal waters of the Arctic Ocean, North Atlantic, Bering Sea and North Pacific oceans. These first kayaks were constructed from stitched animal skins (typically seal) stretched over a wooden frame made from collected driftwood as many of the areas of their construction were treeless.
Hydrospeed
Riverboarding is the North American name for a boardsport in which the participant is prone on the board with fins on his/her feet for propulsion and steering. This sport is also known as Hydrospeed in Europe. Hydrospeed includes recreational practice of using a high-flotation riverboard, designed for buoyancy in highly aerated water.
Riverboarding is believed to have originated in the late 1970s. It is claimed to have originated in France when raft guides stuffed a burlap mail sack with life vests and went down rapids. Soon riders adapted a personal submarine shell for their molds and the plastic version of the riverboard was born. European riders also developed a foam version (called a hydrospeed ) of the plastic board to reduce weight and avoid injuring each other during collisions that sometimes resulted from one rider travelling downstream and another facing upstream while surfing a hydraulic. Today homemade foam hydrospeeds are found primarily among European riders. A growing sport in North America, riverboarding has grown in popularity from media exposure and the emergence of commercial operators running riverboard trips.
Whitewater Rafting
Rafting or whitewater rafting is a challenging recreational activity utilizing a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. This is usually done on whitewater or different degrees of rough water. The development of this activity as a leisure sport has become popular since the mid 1970s. Rafts were originally the simplest form of man’s transportation in water and were then made of several logs, planks or reeds which were fastened together. Inflatable boats were used as rafts which were later adopted by the military for beach assaults. Nowadays rafts come in a few different forms. In Europe the most common is the symmetrical raft steered with a paddle at the stern.
Skiing & Snowboarding
During the Winter season, Outdoor Recreation (ODR) hosts several ski and snowboard trips to locations such as San Martino, Alleghe, Obereggen, Kronplatz, and Stubital. With the understanding that participants range in ability level, instructors are available on most trips to provide lessons. Skiis, poles, snowboards, boots, helmets, and snow jackets are all available for check out at ODR's full service equipment checkout center. Additionally, patrons can receive maintenance, such as base repairs, waxing, and edging on their personal equipment.
Mountain Resorts
The Kronplatz mountain, with its 2,275 meters high summit and its beloved bald head, is visible from every vantage point in the valley.
Val Senales, or the Senales Valley, is a beautiful skiing area in the heart of the South Tyrolean Alps not far from Merano. The
nice village of Maso Corto is the ideal starting point for real skiing fun with
the whole family. Special features are the quiet position far away from
crowded skiing resorts, the openness and transparency and--last but not least--the especially pleasant atmosphere in the Senales Valley. These are perfect holiday conditions for families and sport enthusiasts of every age group. Prepare yourself to enjoy the pure snow fun!

Heliskiing
Heliskiing is off-trail, downhill skiing that is only accessed by a helicopter, not a ski lift. Heliskiing is essentially about skiing in a natural -- albeit highly selected -- environment without the effort or gear compromise required for hiking into these areas as in ski touring or ski mountaineering.
Most heliskiers are seeking specific, pleasurable skiing conditions that are hard to replicate in the highly manipulated terrain of ski resorts. What they find is powder snow, long descents, natural terrain contours and features, smooth corn snow, old-growth tree glades, steep and extreme slopes, or--for the more adventuresome--wild snow and a natural, variable environment.
The presence of the guide and machine offer some protection against the risks and discomforts unavoidably associated with entering this mountainous environment, allowing skiers with little or no mountain sense to enjoy a wild environment.
Please inquire at our front desk or call DSN 314-634-7453 for information on planning a private trip.
Snowshoeing
Snowshoes are footwear for walking over snow. Snowshoes work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot doesn't sink completely into the snow. Snowshoeing expands the potential for exercise available in the wintertime. It has the added benefit of being gentler on the feet than walking or running the equivalent routes, since snow cushions the foot's impact. For the same reason, it is less detrimental to the environment, since the snow likewise buffers the earth against the impact of so many hikers and campers, cutting back on trail erosion and other effects of heavy use.
Snowshoeing makes even familiar hikes different and new. If the snow is deep enough, obstacles such as large boulders and fallen logs can be more easily bypassed. Winter transforms familiar forests into something wonderful and strange, and clearer, bluer skies in winter often afford more sweeping, longer-range views from favorite lookouts than are available in summer situations. The stillness of the air, quiet and snow cover give nature a pristine feel that is sometimes lacking at other times of year.
