To be considered as a volunteer you must complete the application and
send to the Recruit the Recruiter Team at Fort Knox, KY.

If you "volunteer" through the ASK system you will not be considered as a volunteer unless you submit a complete volunteer application.
If you applied through the ASK 2 (for a specific location) you must complete a volunteer application to get branch release and a class date.

You can download the interview and apply while you are deployed, if you are within 120 days of your redeployment.
