Academy Spirit introduces 'Spirited Views'

1/28/2013 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Academy Sprit now features "Spirited Views," an opinion section on Page 2. Letters to the editor have long been one of the most popular features in any newspaper because, simply put, people like to know what others in their community are thinking. With that in mind, we want to know what you're thinking
Many of you have probably noticed that letters to the editor are typically not found in an Air Force newspaper -- or in any military newspaper for that matter -- but we don't believe the Academy Sprit should be a typical military newspaper. Our credo is that the Academy Spirit is your newspaper and, as Academy's No. 1 source of news, should reflect your views as well as those of our local leaders.
It's simple: send your letters of no more than 250 words to pa.newspaper@usafa.af.mil or:

Letters and emails must include your full name, work address if applicable, and a valid phone number where you can be reached during normal duty hours. Letters without this information will not be published. The Academy Spirit reserves the right to edit submissions. Due to space limitations, we won't be able to print every letter we receive, but we will do our best to include as many current and topical letters as possible.
Finally, guest commentaries or editorials are invited from local subject-matter-experts as they relate to a current issue's focus here at the Academy.
