- Maintain a repository of mineral and mining information, including databases, books, periodicals, individual mine files, mine map repository files, mining district data and an archive of mine data.
- Provide quality mining data, evaluation, and assistance relating to mineral development to the legislature, federal, state and local governmental agencies, industry, and the public.
In addition, the Fiscal Year 2012 state budget provides one-time funding to continue digitizing ADMMR's extensive historical mining and mineral resource files to put them online for viewing and downloading.

Department of Conservation Minerals & Mining
They produce mineral classification maps to help local governments with land-use
planning decisions. These maps enable local governments to assess locations for
future development with a full understanding of where valuable mineral resources
exist. At the same time, we work to ensure mined lands are reclaimed and returned
to usable condition after mining operations cease.

Nevada Division of Minerals
The Nevada Division of Minerals administers programs and activities to further the responsible exploration development and production of Nevada's mineral resources: minerals produced from mines; geothermal; and oil and gas. The division regulates drilling operations of oil, gas, and geothermal wells; administers a program to identify, rank, and secure dangerous conditions at abandoned mines; and manages the state reclamation performance bond pool.
-
Nevada Bureau of Mines
The Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology (NBMG) is a research and public service unit of the University of Nevada and is the state geological survey. NBMG is part of the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno. NBMG scientists conduct research and publish reports on mineral resources, engineering geology, environmental geology, hydro geology, and geologic mapping.
Mine Safety and Training Section
The Mine Safety and Training Section (MSATS) was created by Legislative Act in 1909 to establish a safe work place for Nevada Miners.
The mission of MSATS pursuant to Chapter 512 of the Nevada Revised Statutes is to establish and determine mine operator compliance with state and federal regulations and assist mine operators in meeting compliance through development of training programs and by providing consultation and technical assistance.
-
Nevada Division of Environmental Protection
This website contains information designed to help individuals, companies, and governmental entities comply with environmental laws and regulations contained in the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) and the Nevada Administrative Code (NAC).
