Over 14,000 Soldiers from across the XVIII Airborne Corps participated in the XVIII Airborne Corps run at Fort Bragg, Feb. 2. Lt. Gen. Frank Helmick, commanding general, XVIII Abn. Corps and Fort Bragg, and Command Sgt. Maj. Earl Rice, XVIII Abn. Corps and Fort Bragg command sergeant major, led the Soldiers along the four-mile route. The XVIII Abn. Corps recently redeployed from a year-long deployment to Iraq as part of Operation New Dawn.

The Conseil Internationale du Sport Militaire’s (CISM) Military World Games is the largest international military Olympic-style event in the world. In this year’s fourth edition of the Games, 103 countries and more than 5,000 athletes are scheduled to compete Oct. 14-21 in boxing, diving, football (soccer), handball, judo, military pentathlon, parachuting, sailing, shooting, swimming, volleyball and track and field.
