U.S. Marine Corps Non-Lethal Weapons Information The United States Marine Corps is responsible for providing power projection from the sea, utilizing the mobility of the U.S. Navy to rapidly deliver combined-arms task forces to global crises. The U.S. Marine Corps uses non-lethal weapons to:

  • Augment lethal weapons
  • Deny, move, disperse and suppress personnel
  • Deny access to facilities
  • Warn/Stop vehicles and small vessels
  • Disable materiel
  • Provide Marines with hands-on training in using non-lethal weapons
