At a Special Court-Martial on 14 September 2011, PFC Miguel A. Gonzalez-Chavez, A Battery, 6th Battalion, 52d Air Missile Defense, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, was found guilty of attempt to violate a lawful general order by wrongfully possessing what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ; attempt to conspire with another to wrongfully distribute what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article
80, UCMJ; attempt to wrongfully introduce onto an installation under control of the armed forces, approximately two-hundred and fifty (250) grams of what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ; and four specifications of attempt to wrongfully distribute what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ. He was sentenced to five (5) months of confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1, and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a Special Court-Martial on 15 September 2011, PV2 Justin L. Nixon, A Battery, 6th Battalion, 52d Air Missile Defense, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, was found guilty of attempt to violate a lawful general order by wrongfully possessing what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ; conspiracy to wrongfully distribute Spice, in violation of Article 81, UCMJ; and five specifications of attempt to wrongfully distribute what he believed to be Spice, in violation of Article 80, UCMJ. He was sentenced to five (5) months of confinement, reduction to the grade of E-1, and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a Summary Court Martial on 16 September 2011, Reginal Willoughby, F Co., 302d BSB, 1 BCT, 2d Infantry Division, was found guilty of four (4) specifications of failure to go to at the time prescribed his appointed place of duty; two (2) specifications of willfully disobeying a lawful order by a noncommissioned officer, in violation o Article 91, UCMJ. He was sentenced to reduction to Private (E-2);forfeiture of $977.00 pay for one month, and thirty (30) days confinement.
At a Special Court-martial BCD on 19 September 2011, SSG David L. Wilson, II, 210 Fires Brigade, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Casey was convicted of 4 specifications of Assault Consummated by Battery in violation of Article 128, UCMJ. He was sentenced to reduction to E-1, six (6) months of confinement, and a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a Special Court-Martial on 20 September 2011, SGT Charles Pearson, HHD, UNC-SB-SJA, Camp Bonifas, Republic of Korea, was found guilty of one (1) specification of wrongfully use Percocet, containing Oxycodone, a schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Article 112(a); one (1) specification of disobeying a lawful order, by wrongfully using a prohibited substance known as “Spice,” an intoxicating substance, as a means to alter mood or function, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ. He was sentenced to reduction to E-1, four (4) months confinement and a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a General Court Martial on 23 September 2011, PVT Jonathan Blair J., B Co, 602d ASB, 2d Infantry Division, was found guilty of one (1) specification of indecent conduct by having sexual intercourse with a Private (E-2) while in the exposed view of others, in violation of Article 120, UCMJ. He was sentenced to eighteen (18) months confinement and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a General Court-martial BCD on 28 September 2011, Julius L. Pickett, HHC, 1BCT, Camp Hovey, was found guilty of two (2) specifications of disobeying a lawful order from a superior commissioned officer; one (1) specifications of making a false official statement in violations of Article 107, UCMJ; one (1) specifications of wrongfully and dishonorable having sexual intercourse with a woman not his wife and one (1) specifications of making a false official statement about it in violation of Article 133. He was sentenced to be dismissed from the service.
At a Special Court-martial on 29 September 2011, Marquinton L. Brown, A Co, 302D BSB, 1BCT, Camp Casey, was found guilty of five (5) specifications of failure to go at the time prescribed to his appointed place of duty and three (3) specifications of being absent from his unit without authority in violation of Article 86 UCMJ; five (5) specifications of disobeying an order by a noncommissioned officer in violation of Article 91, UCMJ; three (3) specifications of violating a lawful order in violations of Article 92, UCMJ. He was sentenced to be reduced the rank of Private (E-1) and to be confined for 80 days.
