At a BCD Special Court-Martial on 2 December 2011, SFC Kenneth L. Thomas, HHB, 70th Brigade Support Battalion, 210th Fires Brigade, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Casey, was found guilty of three (3) specifications of maltreatment in violation of Article 93, UCMJ; and one (1) specification of assault consummated by battery in violation of Article 128, UCMJ. He was sentenced to 45 days of confinement, and reduction to the grade of E-4.
At a General Court-Martial on 8 December 2011, PVT Dustin Halcom, HHC, 498th Co, 498th CSSB, 501st SBDE, 19th ESC, Camp Carroll, was found guilty of three (3) specifications of distribution of SPICE, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ; one (1) specification of wrongfully using a type of SPICE, in violation of Article 92, UCMJ; possession of SPICE, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ; and wrongful introduction of SPICE onto a U.S. Army installation, in violation of Article 112a, UCMJ. He was sentenced to 9 months of confinement, automatic forfeitures, and to be discharged from the service with a Bad-conduct Discharge.
At a BCD Special Court-Martial on 2 December 2011, SPC Emery Gettis, C Co., 2-9 IN (1st 72nd AR), 1BCT, 2d Infantry Division, Camp Casey, was found guilty of one (1) specification of failure to report, in violation of Article 86, UCMJ; one (1) specification of willfully disobedience of non-commissioned officer, in violation of Article 91, UCMJ; two (2) specifications of of larceny of government property less than $500, in violation of Article 121, UCMJ; and four (4) specifications of larceny of private property less than $500, in violation of Article 121; one ( 1) specification of unlawful entry in violation of Article 134, UCMJ. He was sentenced to seven (7) months of confinement, reduction to E-1, to be discharged from the service with a Bad-conduct Discharge.
