This is a foot in the door for Rahman in Hollywood and a good feel. (He has to infact be a part of the composer's union, if one understands that part.) It will take sometime before he can work the audience for which he needs to become part of the process of moviemaking. Now he has to work out something for Hollywood producers in terms of broadening their movie audience and bring in more Indian audience. There was nothing new in the soundtracks. It was just some easy listening with very very simple tunes, nothing major. What needed is very intelligent writers for Hollywood bringing together stories for both West and East, requires a little more imagination.

Sir, Whether it be natural disaster like cyclone,earthquake,hurricane,devastating floods,or tsunamis etc., and the recent disaster of flooding the state of karnataka comprising of Northern part of karnataka and Mantralaya of the neighbouring state of Andhra State which both the states never witnessed in the last 106 years. Depending upon the enormity of the tragedy that struck both the states resulting in untold misery to the unfortunate people,their families,loss of dearest and nearest,destruction of hard earned properties worth crores etc.,it is the bounden duty of the central Govt. to declare the events as a national calamity and take all possibilty of helping the survivors by providing succour in the form of temporary shelter in the first instance followed by permanent houses later on,food packets, or providing gruel centres,airlifting those who are willing to return to their relatives' houses,cash compensation,blankets and medical facilities etc., etc.,,which both the Govts.at the centre and at states are doing promptly. Therefore it is apt and timely that floods that hit north karnataka and Mantralaya of the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh be declared a natonal calamity.
