Mascots of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games

The mascots of the Olympic Games in Vancouver were the work of Meomi, two designers (Vicky Wong and Michael Murphy) based in Vancouver. They found their inspiration in the legends of British Columbia to create three friendly creatures: Miga, Quatchi and Sumi. However, these three official mascots were accompanied by a fourth character: Mukmuk. The selection committee liked Mukmuk so much, they decided to make him the companion of the three official mascots.

Each character represents a particular creature from Canadian myths and legends. More details can be found in the captions of the photographs below.
