The Law Library and the Office of Workforce Diversity co-hosted a Law Panel on religious rights of Native Americans. The panel discussion served as the closing program of Native American Heritage Month. Featured panelists included the newly appointed director of the National Museum of the American Indian, Kevin Gover, along with activist Suzan Shown Harjo and attorney Dean Suagee. Louis Fisher, constitutional specialist for the Law Library, served as the moderator. The panelists discussed the difficulties of protecting American Indian religious right through litigation and explored recent cases such as San Francisco Peaks and Cave Rock.
