The Law Library and the Constitution Project cosponsored a day-long conference on the right to the effective assistance of counsel and, in particular, the case of Strickland v. Washington. This panel explored "Promises for Justice: Federal and State Reforms to Protect the Right to the Effective Assistance of Counsel." The panelists included prominent district and state attorneys, appellate judges, law professors and experts from legal rights organizations.
