As I’m starting the weekend here in Indy, I’ve been thinking about what all I’ve seen this week. Two subjects stand out: the crowd and the security.
We’re just two days now from an actual football game, and when you walk about the Super Bowl village, or just downtown Indy in general, you pick up a positive vibe. Unusually positive. The city’s well prepared for this onslaught of attention and the people are soaking it up.
I think we as a nation have come to terms with the idea of football as the national pastime, and second place is trailing by miles and miles. The fact that the 20 most watched TV shows EVER are Super Bowls underscores that point.
