If you would like a police report, please print the request form and follow the instructions on the form. A simple police report request does not require a formal open records request through the City Clerks Office. To streamline your request, please use this form which goes directly to the Aurora Police Records Unit opposed to through the City Clerks Office. Lobby hours:
Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. excluding holidays.

Fingerprinting: Tuesday and Thursday,
10 to11:30 a.m. and 3 to 5:30 p.m.

The Aurora Police Records Unit is the centralized storage and processing area for all records and information relating to Aurora Police Department activities, including criminal reports, arrest records, and accident reports. The Unit assists officers, other agencies and the public.

The Records Unit is located on the first floor in the Aurora Police Department at 15001 E. Alameda Parkway (between S. Chambers Road and S. Sable Blvd. on E. Alameda Parkway). Parking is on the south side of the Municipal Justice Center, east of the Central Library. Walk north from the parking lot and follow signs to the main entrance of the Police Department.

Services offered to the public (prices are set annually by City Council):

Copies of police reports

$5.50 for the first ten pages
$0.25 for each additional page

Fingerprints

$11 for Aurora residents
$22 for non-residents

Background checks

Must have the persons full name and date of birth, race and gender.

The records unit accepts credit cards, cash or check for payment. A current government issued identification card is required for all transactions.

Sex offender registration is available at the Municipal Jail (14999 E. Alameda Parkway).
