Not gonna lie here, I was happy I accidentally opened up the wrong Amazon box today and saw these puppies just waiting for me to set-up...
Oh the fun me and these guys are going to have in 2013...
I am so stoked to finally be able to set up a mock studio somewhere in the house! Oh, I can feel the inspiration already kicking in!

Star Light - Tree Bright
My one goal this year, besides bokeh shapes, was to do a "starry lights" christmas tree and after a long day of wrapping presents, I finally got my wish!
I got out the camera, set it up on the tripod and got to work. I can mark this one of my year "to-do" list!

TO DIY Or Buy; That Is The Question

+lane langmade absolutely and that is why, I feel, research is key!
There have been so props and costumes I have made by taking something old and repurposing it with fresh adornments and such - headbands are a favorite of mine.
Even with fabrics, I have found that they can be expensive in regards to uses and reusability. It isn't worth the coin to drop 50 bucks on cloth for one shoot, but it might be worth taking an old top and some pieces of sample cloth and a few other random baubles and accessories to pull off something awesome and maybe half the cost!

Introduction
If you know me, then you DEFINITELY know that you have found the "right" me!
I am a Project Manager at a college and I keep the online course development running smoothly with my slightly OCD behavior. That is just my day job (It pays the bills...ALL of them!).
I like to write (blog), read, watch movies (new and old), go on adventures, veg out with my munchkin, play video games, laugh at poop or other inappropriate phallic jokes and innuendo; I like techy things and geeky things galore. For fun, I like to paint and draw or dream of my next tattoo. =)
I am of Russian descent and enjoy cooking (and eating) foods from all over the globe. Cultures of other countries fascinate me, and I love to observe them. Human nature is one of the most amazing and terrifying things.

Art has always been a part of my life since I was discovered by one of my most favorite art teachers in middle school. She showed me a way and a light through art I had never experienced until then.
