Brig. Gen. Ryan F. Gonsalves, 4th Infantry Division deputy commanding general for maneuver, speaks to the World War II veterans during the Veterans Reception and WWII Exhibit at the Mitchell Art Center in Trinidad, Oct. 20, 2012. During his speech, Gonsalves said, "The liberty that I and other Americans possess is founded upon the selfless sacrificial service that these extraordinary warriors made on our behalf." All the honorees received a standing ovation out of respect for their service and sacrifice at the end of Gonsalves' speech.
