Don't Have Plans For NYE? Now You Do!!

So it’s time to say goodbye to the year that brought us a million celebrity deaths, a huge money shaped hole in our hearts, and the swine flu. It’s time to raise our champagne glasses, spot your closest sexy stranger and say “Hey 2009… FUCK YOU!” Here’s a list of some of our recommended shitshows:
2010rudedudes.jpg
Of course there’s the Ohio Party and the bittersweet Monkeytown chilled out NYE
I’ll be getting my free drink on from 10-11pm at K&M while the Rude Dudes drop some hits I can shake my ass to.
For “people who want to do awesome ass shit”, Team Robespierre are playing a midnight show at Bruar Falls.
Bring in the Y2K V2.0 with the lovely folks at Bushwick’s hottest restaurant, Roberta’s– there are rumors of a hot tub sauna so you can get your Real World on!
Shea Stadium’s New Fears Party promises bands all night long and a 8am breakfast to bring in 2010 with– the perfect way to avoid that January 1st hangover.
$29 will get you into two parties with TheDanger crew! In addition to the address listed on the New Lost City website, it’ll be going on at 341 Scholes St. as well. Two parties for the price of one!
If you like pretending you’re in Manhattan, Brooklyn Bowl will probably have some sort of epic 30 TV screen countdown going… Q Tip might also be there.
Also, if you only wanna spend $1 tonight, head on over to the Passion Pit afterparty
Those are our picks, let us know what else is up in the comments! Happy 2010, bitches!!

YOU SHOULD DO THIS TONIGHT!

Celebrate New Years Eve with The Ohio Party DJ’s

“40 Bucks for an open bar starting at 10 that goes till 12:30 and includes free champagne and fake money so you can make it rainman like Pacman Jones at midnight.”
check out the pics from their last party

Monkeytown New Year's Eve Performance Equals Total Victory

This New Year’s Eve is, of course, a special affair for Monkeytown. As many of you have heard, Monkeytown will be closing its doors at the end of January. For their last intimate New Year’s bash, they have picked a special family version of an Excepter performance. Over the course of the last four years, the Excepter takeovers of Monkeytown have been my favorite for their utilization of the backroom’s space and their sometimes unpredictable choice of sound and visual aesthetics.
In October Excepter released the album and short film Black Beach on Paw Tracks. Shot on a brief vacation in California, Black Beach finds Excepter mining more chilled-out (sometimes microhouse) sonic territory.
