- ADP reports that 215,000 workers were added to the economy in December, including 25K small business jobs & 102K medium-sized business jobs. This is the biggest addition in private-sector employment since February 2012 – ending the year on a high note. - This photo visibly shows the growth of the areas around the Eagle Ford Shale, a boom in the oil field industry over the last few years. The Eagle Ford Shale has been a contributor to the economic growth of not only our district, but also to the state of Texas - adding 47,000 jobs to the area, and in 2010 alone, bringing in close to $2.9 billion in revenue.
