How is $429 an amazing price?  Right now Samsung's Series 3 goes for $250 and the Series 5 can be had for $100 by special order by educational institutions and families of students.  Private sellers can also buy the Acer variant for $200.  What is Lenovo offering hardware wise that would warrant double the price and a limit to only institutional buyers?  After all, this is chromeOS we are talking about, how much "configuring" could Lenovo do to the rigs when most of the configuring is on-line and system wide?

The tech industry doesn't bloom from conferences and seminars and talks, it blooms from guys in their garages or dorm rooms putting stuff together for fun. There is absolutely nothing stopping women from doing this at all.

Perhaps we should just admit the obvious? There are far more men than women who are into tech (and engineering/physics/maths) and this explains the lack of women in the tech industry, nothing more, nothing less. All the networking sessions in the world won't change that fact.
