Coffman Statement on Vote to Repeal the Affordable Care Act PDF Print

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with patient-centered health care reform.   Rep. Mike Coffman, R-Aurora, released the following statement regarding his vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act:

“The American people deserve better than the Affordable Care Act.  Americans know that we cannot fix our health care system by cutting $500 billion out of Medicare, placing job killing mandates on small businesses, and by further slowing our economy down through a massive tax increase."

“I’m proud to support today’s legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act and I look forward to replacing it with patient-centered health care reform that will reduce costs, broaden access, protect Colorado’s senior citizens, working families and small businesses.”
