The gun control debate rages on and will soon carry over to Congress.
Last Monday's school shooting in California is just the latest to stir up the gun control issue and what if anything can be done to try to curb some of this violence.
The new Congress has been in session for almost two weeks now and you better believe gun control will be one of the hot topics on the agenda.
"We're going to have a big debate about gun control which I hope actually becomes a bigger debate on public safety mental health, cultural violence," said Rep. Kingston. "What are we going to do about that and that's going to be very difficult for all of us."
Congressman Kingston says he would also like to see an unbiased study on what is causing an increase in this kind of violence.
