These beautiful Legend of Zelda playing cards were made in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the game. They’re an officially licensed Nintendo product and contain images from all the Zelda games. I love the four variations of Link that are on the back of every card. Imported from Japan.

Now you can cuddle up with these very huggable circuit plushies from Adafruit. They’re based on the characters from their online puppet show, Circuit Playground which teaches kids about electronics and circuitry with little animated characters. Kids, and adults, can now have Cappy the Capacitor, MHO the Resistor, Ruby the Red LED and all their friends as adorable plush.

Artist Andrew DeGraff has created maps for each of the first three Indiana Jones films that show you the paths Indy took on his adventures. It’s pretty cool, especially considering that the movies open with his plane flying along an antiquated looking map with a thick red line marking out his path. These maps are much more complicated and, much like the ones he made up for The Original Star Wars Trilogy, are more than a little reminiscent of old Family Circus comics.

What if our Founding Fathers and U.S Presidents were all part of the Justice League? Artist Aslan Malik gives us an idea with this series of currency art.

Side note—I would prefer the pants look on Andrew Jackson. I’ll bet that lasso came in handy as President though.

So, the BBC announced that a series of Doctor Who short stories will be published monthly to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the series. Each of the 11 tales will be written by a well known children’s author and focus on a specific regeneration of the Doctor.

That having been said, what children’s author do you think would be on the top of this list? If you said “J.K. Rowling”, you’re not alone. In addition to Rowling, Hypable has put together a list of plausible candidates including Anthony Horowitz, Philip Pullman, Alan Garner, Geraldine McCaughrean, Michelle Paver, Susan Price, and Kate Thompson.

We won’t know for sure until the end of the year, but the first author will be revealed on the 7th of January followed by the first story on the 23rd. A promotional video featuring each author will be released monthly starting on January 11th. When all is said and done, a paperback of the series will be released in November.

So, assuming J.K. Rowling is on the list, which Doctor do you think would suit her story the best?

This trailer for a Robotech movie is so good that you’ll want to cry when you realize it isn’t the next big studio blockbuster, but just a fan-made effort. In less than a minute, they manage to capture the flavor of the series with giant alien mechs stomping around a city, blowing stuff up, and generally causing panic among the citizenry. The project is still a work-in-progress, and with a trailer like this, the final product is sure to be amazing.

This is not the usual Star Wars image featured on the sides of vans, but I’ll be darned if this rendering (Forza?) doesn’t look fantastic.

Funko has announced a team-up between Domo and DC Comics that’s giving us these fantastic blind box vinyl figures. Each measures 2.5″ tall and will retail for $5.95 when they debut on February 28th. There are 14 different characters, some of which come in more than one version.

You’ll be able to collect Batman (3 versions), Robin (2 versions), Superman (2 versions), Clark Kent, Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Shazam, The Riddler and Two-Face. Some of them are more rare than others, as you can see by the ratios in the first image. Superman with his shirt open is ridiculously rare with only 1/144 boxes holding him inside!
