Welcome to the New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps website. Through this site, we hope to provide you with information about our program and how New Mexico's communities are benefiting by putting our youth to work. The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is administratively attached to the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department. YCC was created in 1992 to provide a process to employ the youth in public projects. Participants learn employment skills, work ethics, as well as self-discipline and self-esteem.
