Find people you know

Connect an email account to find everyone in your address book who’s already using Google+. Or you can find long lost friends: add your high school, college, or work to find people who were there with you. If you’re looking for someone in particular, you can search for them by name.

Create circles

Circles are an easy way to organize the people you know like in real life. They make it easy for you to choose who you want to share with, every time you share, whether you’re sending an inside joke to your family circle or sharing that unbelievable photo with everyone. We give you a few circles to start out with, such as friends, family and acquaintances. Decide who fits in each, and create new circles for even more control.

Shout, speak, or whisper

On Google+ you can share as broadly or narrowly as you want. If you have something to say that the world needs to hear, choose “Public.” To keep your message to a specific group, choose one of your circles. You can even share with individuals -- just type in someone’s name or email address to select them.

Join the conversation

When you find a post that interests you, show your appreciation. +1 is a quick way to say “that’s pretty cool.” Add a comment if you want to say more, or reshare the post with others you think will enjoy it. If text just isn’t enough, you can even start a hangout to talk face-to-face-to-face.
