Capcom surprised its fans last month with the release of Street Fighter X Mega Man (SFXMM), a free PC downloadable game where the Blue Bomber battles blocky Nintendo Entertainment System-era versions of the World Warriors.
As fun and challenging as SFXMM is, the ultimate crossover title between these two franchises would be an epic fighting game. With over 100 characters to choose from, the amount of possible matchups and replay value would be staggering.
To share my vision of this dreamy game with you, I created 10 images showing martial artists and Robot Masters of similar abilities going for broke against each other.

Elec Man & Cloud Man vs. Blanka
Getting shocked is bad enough, but adding water to the mix pretty much guarantees your death.
The combined power of Cloud Man and Elec Man give them the upper hand, but the Brazilian beast has lightning-fast speed on his side.

Gemini Man vs. Yun & Yang
The twin brothers can coordinate their attacks to destroy opponents, but will that be enough to beat the tricky Gemini Man and his perfect clone?

Rolento vs. Search Man & Grenade Man
It is smart for Search Man and Grenade Man to team up, but they totally underestimate Rolento and his extensive experience in military strategy, including the assistance of his Mad Gear Gang buddies.

Skullomania vs. Skull Man
Both of these guys have been away from the spotlight for a while, which makes me sad.
Skullomania’s specialty is delivering quick sneak attacks, but Skull Man will thwart that approach with his impenetrable Skull Barrier.

Ibuki vs. Shadow Man
Ninjutsu masters dispose of their targets quickly, but when two top ninjas like Ibuki and Shadow Man collide, it could take an eternity. Maybe Quick Man could help speed things up.

Zangief & Hugo vs. Guts Man
Dr. Light created Guts Man for wilderness reclamation purposes, and nothing’s wilder than a Russian bear wrestler and an eight-foot-tall giant in a pink tank top.

Tomahawk Man vs. T. Hawk
Thunder Hawk’s head is as hard as a rock, but can it withstand the impact of a spinning axe? Wait, is that Juli (T. Hawk’s lady friend) laying unconscious under the Robot Master’s feet? Tomahawk Man, what have you done?

Rose vs. Magic Man
Dr. Wily designed Magic Man with only three weaknesses: pink tarot cards, ball gowns, and Italian women. The tin magician’s fate was sealed the moment he laid eyes on Rose.

Vega vs. Slash Man
The handsome Spaniard’s mask may prevent bruises from kicks and punches, but what good will it do against Slash Man’s razor-sharp claws? This would be a fast-paced and incredibly entertaining matchup, especially if that guy in the background interferes.

Frost Man & Heat Man vs. Gill
The walking glacier and oversized lighter thought their combined powers could take down Gill, but the man-god’s overwhelming mastery of fire and ice forced Frost Man and Heat Man to become his servants.
