The mission of the Columbus AFB Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office is to reinforce the Air Force's commitment to eliminate incidents of sexual assault through a comprehensive policy that centers on awareness and prevention, training and education, victim advocacy, response, reporting, and accountability. Air Force policy promotes sensitive care and confidential reporting for victims of sexual assault and accountability for those who commit these crimes.
tabHow To Report Sexual Assault 
1. Call the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator office at 434-1228 or call the SARC hotline at (662) 364-0822.  The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  You will reach either Mrs. Daisy Jones-Brown or a victim advocate.

2. Stop by the SARC office in building 926, room 232. The SARC or a victim advocate will provide you with support and important information about reporting options.
tabReporting Options For Sexual Assault 
Military members who are sexually assaulted can decide if they want the incident investigated and shared with their chain of command or not.

It is vital to know the differences between restricted and unrestricted reporting.  If you contact your command or law enforcement your report automatically becomes unrestricted.

Restricted Reporting*:
  • Contact SARC
  • Command is NOT notified
  • No Investigation is initiated
  • SARC or victim advocate attends to the needs of the victim, providing supportive services
  • Get medical care
  • Get counseling
  • Can make unrestricted reporting decision at a later date
* (Active duty military and dependents 18 years of age or older)


Unrestricted Reporting:
  • Contact SARC
  • Command is notified
  • Investigation is initiated
  • SARC or victim advocate attends to victim needs, providing supportive services
  • Get medical care
  • Get counseling
